The countdown is on! Texas celebrates National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014.
Residents in neighborhoods throughout Grand Prairie and across the nation participate each year in National Night Out. Last year in Grand Prairie, many residents spent the evening outside with their neighbors, police officers, firefighters and EMS paramedics. Events such as cookouts, block parties and neighborhood walks took place throughout the city.
This annual event is a great opportunity for citizens and law enforcement to partner up against crime. The Grand Prairie Police Department encourages everyone to meet their neighbors and commit to help law enforcement reduce crime in their community. It is time to show the criminal element that we as a society are not going to just sit back and let crime occur in our neighborhoods.
