The City purchases electricity from Direct Energy. In calendar year 2011, the City purchased 38,502,996 kilowatt hours (KWH).

The City purchases water from Forth Worth & Dallas, Texas. In calendar year 2011, the City purchased a total of 8,957,310,970 gallons of water.

The total cost of natural gas, electricity, and water purchased by the City of Grand Prairie in the calendar year 2011 is $66,436,388.00.
