Provides advice and recommendations to the city council related to the Animal Shelter and general animal control throughout the community.
Meets quarterly, third Thursdays in March, June, September and December at 7 p.m. at the Prairie Paws Adoption Center Conference Room, 2222 W. Warrior Trail.

Nine members: one member must be a licensed veterinarian, one must have duties which include the daily operation of an animal shelter, one must be an official of the city and one must be a representative of an animal welfare organization.
Two members are appointed by city staff, seven members are appointed by council members.
