We Sell NTTA TollTags
First time TollTag user? Get your North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) Tag at our Tourist Center, 2170 N. Belt Line Road. Just bring your valid drivers license, the license plate number for all vehicles for which you would like to purchase a TollTag (NOTE: plate numbers are not on your insurance card), and a debit or credit card that NTTA will keep on file. You will fill out an online form, pay with your credit card and receive your TollTag immediately! Cost is $40 for up to three TollTags and you may keep the money on your TollTag for many years or reload as needed. When your account balance reaches $10 or less NTTA will charge an additional $40 to your credit/ebit card on file.
NTTA TollTags work on all Texas toll roads and at DFW Airport. Toll rates for SH 161 through Grand Prairie are 15.3 cents per mile, while ZipCash customers pay 50 percent more. The cost difference is due to the higher costs of toll collection associated with ZipCash transactions. You TollTag will also work on toll roads throughout Texas but the will only recieve discounted tolls in North Texas.
NTTA BILLS CAN NOT BE PAID AT OUR FACILITY!
For questions about billing or more details visit NTTA.org or call the customer service line at 977-818-6882.
Volunteer Travel Counselor
The Tourist Center welcomes and assists more than 20,000 visitor to Grand Prairie each year. Our volunteer travel counselors assist with directions, things to do in the area and primarily direct visitors to Grand Prairie attractions, hotels, restaurants, shopping, special events, etc.
Regular scheduled counselors work one specific four-hour shift each week. Each of those work shifts are currently filled, but "fill-in" positions are available (when permanent counselors are away), and a wait list is available for those interested in volunteering for a regular weekly shift.
Volunteers enjoy regular activities to network with other counselors and learn more about attractions and activities in the area, familiarization tours of hotels and attractions, pot luck dinners and just a fun environment.
If you would like to visit with travelers from all across the globe, can give directions and are proud to promote Grand Prairie as the exciting destination it is, contact Cathy Raymond at 972-595-5402 or email email@example.com.
City volunteers are subject to background check and drug screening.
