GP ANIMAL SHELTER JOINS PETSMART CHARITIES TO HELP SAVE 16,500 PETS DURING NATIONAL ADOPTION WEEKEND FEB. 23-24
GRAND PRAIRIE—Prairie Paws Adoption Center joins PetSmart Charities for National Adoption Weekend Feb. 23-24 at the PetSmart store in Grand Prairie at Great Southwest Parkway and Interstate 20. More than 1,210 PetSmart stores nationwide will offer $35 in adoption-reward grants for every pet adopted in stores during the three-day event.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to give a second chance to one of our shelter animals waiting for adoption. We have a wide selection of pets that will be available, so you are bound to find the cat, dog, puppy or kitten you’re looking for,” said Grand Prairie Animal Services Manager Danielle Tate.
The goal of the PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend is to save the lives of more than 16,500 pets. In addition to the PetSmart store in Grand Prairie, you can visit the PetSmart Charities’ adoption centers inside any PetSmart store in the United States 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22; Saturday, Feb. 23; and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24. To learn about the adoption fees and guidelines, visit www.PetSmartCharities.org/adoption or call 1-877-473-8762.
In addition to the Feb. 22-24 event, there are three other National Adoption Weekends planned in 2013: April 26-28; Sept. 13-15; and Nov. 15-17, 2013.
