Grand Prairie’s popular Farmers Table gourmet al fresco feast featuring the fresh foods and bountiful fare of Farmers Market will be 7-10 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Farmers Market, 120 W. Main St. Tickets to the one-of-a-kind dinner are $80 and available in advance by calling 972-595-5402. Only 100 tickets will be sold.
The night starts with passed hors d’oeuvres at 7 p.m. and a plated dinner at 7:30 p.m. Dinner consists of a baby Arugula salad with feta cheese, roasted peppers, pine nuts and honey vinaigrette; followed by Portobello stuffed Frenched chicken and beef tender chuck with potato cake, asparagus, julienne carrots and pinot noir sauce. Dessert is a delicious Texas peach crisp cobbler with ice cream. Complimentary white and red wines will be served throughout the evening.
"This event transforms Market Square into an Italian countryside," said Mayor Charles England. "It is one of my favorite events. Delicious food, excellent service, great company, Farmers Table is the must-attend event of the season."
Attire is resort casual as Market Square is an open-air facility. Pre-payment is required, no tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets will be mailed to those who purchase them.
