Tony Shotwell Branch Library, 2750 Graham St., invites tweens and teens 10 years of age and older to NETLAB, a free three-part code and tech series from Thursday, June 12 to Thursday, August 21. The lab information follows:
Thursday, June 12 at 7 p.m.
Lab 1: Easy as Pi- Learn about the parts and assembly of a Raspberry Pi.
Thursday, June 19 at 7 p.m.
Lab 2: Fierce Pods- Code for Pi’s
Thursday, June 26 at 7 p.m.
Lab 3: Pi-craft Battle- Minecraft for Pi’s. Must have attended Lab 1 and 2 to participate.
Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m.
Lab 4: Light My Pi- Learn basic wiring and how to light up LEDs.
Thursday, July 17 at 7 p.m.
Lab 5: Do Re Pi- Learn how to play music (bring an MP3 player if possible).
Thursday, July 27 at 7 p.m.
Lab 6: Rainbow Pi- Combine light and music to create displays. Must attend Lab 4 & 5.
Thursday, August 7 at 7 p.m.
Lab 7: Speaking Pi, Easy- Learn the starting languages of Pi programming.
Thursday, August 14 at 7 p.m.
Lab 8: Speaking Pi, Journeyman- Get further into languages of Pi programming.
Thursday, August 21 at 7 p.m.
Lab 9: A Slice of Pi- Program games and enjoy the fruits of learning. Must attend Lab 7 & 8.
