City Councilwoman and Mayor Pro Tem Ruthe Jackson speaks at the Betty Warmack Branch Library at 7 pm on Thursday, April 18.
Ms. Jackson will speak on the topics of libraries and community, in honor of National Library Week.
In addition to serving the Grand Prairie City Council, Ms. Jackson has also served on the Dallas County School Board and the Dallas County Historical Organization. She has received many awards and recognitions for her community service, including the Keep America Beautiful Lady Bird Johnson Award and the United States President’s Volunteer Service Award, presented to her by President Bush.
