The Planning and Development Department of the City of Grand Prairie serves the residents of Grand Prairie by helping and supporting existing neighborhood associations, facilitating communication between residents and city departments, providing useful information to neighborhoods, and developing educational opportunities for neighborhood associations to continue to grow and be successful. In addition, City staff meets with neighborhood residents to discuss upcoming development as well as home owner concerns about existing development.
The “Heads Up” Neighborhood Notification Program forwards information to neighborhood organizations regarding development proposals occurring within their jurisdictions or within close proximity of their boundaries. Receiving notification at the beginning of the development review cycle gives these organizations more time to study the proposed changes and provide public input well in advance of the public hearing notification time frame required by Texas law.
Organizations who participate in this program will receive a notice of pending development requests approximately one week after a developer files their application. How to Register Your Organization
To get started, please click on the link below and complete and submit the contact information form . Due to the significant amount of organizations in the City, we respectfully request that no more than two contact names be provided. If your organization is using a Property Management Company, please include them with the other two members.
