Workers' Compensation and Salary Supplement

The City of Grand Prairie offers workers' compensation and salary supplement for all covered employees unable to work due to an on-the-job (occupational) injury or illness.

The policy applies to all full-time, regular part-time, temporary and seasonal employees, volunteer firefighters and police reserve officers.

City of Grand Prairie employees injured within the course and scope of their employment and approved through the city's carrier will receive State statutory workers' compensation benefits and city salary supplements under this policy to assist them in the recovery and return to work process.  The purpose of the city salary supplement policy is to ensure injured workers receive their full salary during the recovery period.
