Social Security

City of Grand Prairie employees pay their share of Social Security and the City contributes a similar amount in behalf of the employee in accordance with a schedule established by the Social Security System.

Social Security retirement benefits will depend upon the age, average salary at retirement, and the time that has been covered by Social Security in all present and previous employment.
