Longevity Pay
The City of Grand Prairie provides longevity pay to encourage retention of employees by recognizing the value of long-term service with the city.
All full-time employees with benefits are eligible to begin accruing longevity pay after one (1) full year of employment. Longevity pay is earned at a rate of $4/month for each full year of service after completion of first year. Longevity pay is included in an employees' paycheck.
Stability Pay
The City of Grand Prairie awards stability pay to eligible full-time and regular part-time employees. Stability pay is calculated at a monthly rate recommended by the City Manager to the City Council and approved in the annual budget.
Payment will be based on months of continuous service completed at the time of payment. Full-time employees are currently receiving a rate of $3/month. Regular part-time employees who work at least 20 hours per week receive $2/month. Stability pay is made in one check in early December.
