The Grand Prairie Historical Commission honored citizens during its annual awards reception on March 26.
Congratulations to this year's award winners:
Presented for outstanding contributions to Grand Prairie historical preservation
by individuals.
- Brian Bingham - for considerable and consistent efforts to publish Historical Organization Newsletter.
- Edward Gray - for bringing forward Steen's Motel for a historic marker and donating to city a rotary pay phone, commemorating the last remaining operational rotary pay phone in Texas, which is at the Steen's Motel.
- Durwood A. Sutton - Lifetime Achievement Posthumously for a lifetime of contributions to Grand Prairie as a businessman, civic leader, family man and friend
