About the Purchasing Division 

The mission of the Purchasing Division is to procure goods and services in an effective and timely manner, in accordance with all statutes and regulations.

We strive to support city departments by aiding in the delivery of those products and services to departments where and when needed while making sure the citizens' money is spent wisely.

 The City of Grand Prairie welcomes the opportunity to do business with interested vendors in the community. The City's Purchasing Division is interested in fostering participation by all qualified business persons offering commodities and services that may be used by the City. The Purchasing Division has the responsibility to make the most economical acquisition of quality materials and services that will assure efficient operation of city government.

How do I become a registered vendor to do business with the City of Grand Prairie?

Is it necessary to register with BidSync to do business with the City of Grand Prairie? -

Supplier participation in BidSync is not a requirement for doing business with the City of Grand Prairie; however, it is the quickest and most efficient means for notification of bid opportunities. Bid notices are also advertised in these areas:

  • On the bulletin board located at the Fiscal Administration Building at 326 W. Main St., Grand Prairie, TX  75050
  • In the Fort Worth Star Telegram

How do I find out who has been awarded a bid I applied for?

If you submitted a bid or proposal, you will be contacted by the buyer responsible for the bid award detailing the bid award.  If you did not submit a bid or proposal, contact the buyer responsible for the bid award or e-mail Purchasing.
