The Grand Prairie Libraries now subscribe to NetLibrary, making downloadable eAudiobooks available to library cardholders without charge.
Once you've created a free netlibrary account at one of our library computers, you can log into your account from home, and download audiobooks straight to your computer, and even transfer them to your mp3 player Netlibrary requires Windows Media Player, and unfortunately, their eAudiobooks cannot be played on a Mac, Ipod or Zune.
How to get started:
Stop by any Grand Prairie Library to create your Netlibrary account. Sign up to use an internet computer, and visit www.netlibrary.org. Click "Create a Free Account" in the upper right corner.
Fill in your information, including the username and password of your choice. Be sure to make a note of this information - we cannot look up your details. Click "Create Account" at the bottom, and you're ready to go!
Once you log in, you can see the available eAudiobooks. Soon, you will be able to search for eAudiobooks from the library catalog, but this is not functional yet.
