Applications are available at both libraries. Dues are ten dollars a year. Membership entitles you to shop at the Spring and Fall Book Sales on the Preview Nights, before the sales open to the general public. |

Books, magazines, videos, dvds, games and jigsaw puzzles can be left at either Library location. Items are sold, and the proceeds benefit the Libraries. Need to arrange pickup of a large donation? Call (972) 237-5702. |

The Friends hold Silent Auctions in the spring and fall. They accept donations of gift baskets, gift certificates, baskets and gift items. Donations are tax deductible. Call (972) 237-5740 for more information about auctions. |
| Join the Library Foundation |

Applications are available at both libraries, or print an application. There are several different levels of membership. The Foundation finds ways to raise money for the benefit of both libraries. |
| Collect Campbell's Soup and other food labels |
| |
The Library raises funds through the Campbell's Labels for Education program. Turn in labels from Campbell's soup and other products at the Main Library. Here is a list of eligible products. |
| Donate empty printer and toner cartridges for recycling |
| |
By recycling printer and toner cartridges, and old cell phones, the Library earns funds from the Green Library Project. Just leave your donations in the kettle in the foyer of the Main Library. |

Many online retailers will make a donation to the Grand Prairie Library based on your online shopping total when you start your shopping session at http://shopforthelibrary.net. Once you visit their site, check the upper right-hand corner to make sure you've selected Grand Prairie as your library.

Just tell your cashier that you would like your Reward Card linked to organization number 6609. From then on, 1% of all your purchases will go directly to your public library through Tom Thumb's Good Neighbor Program. |
| Shop at Kroger with your Kroger Cares card |

Pick up a free Kroger Cares card at the Main Library. Hand it to your cashier for scanning when you check out, and a portion of your purchase will go towards the Libraries' account. |
| Buy a personalized brick for the Main Library’s outdoor walkway |
| |
Individuals and corporations may purchase a personalized brick to be set in our walkway. A $40 personal brick has 3 lines of 16 characters or spaces. A $150 corporate brick has 6 lines of 16 characters or spaces, plus room for a logo. Pick up brick order forms from the Main Library, or print out an individual brick form, or corporate brick form. Please return complete forms and payment to the Main Library. |
