What the romance Online Book Club is reading this week:

We've added many new online resources, including the Encyclopaedia Britannica, Online Book Clubs, and Learning Express Test Preparation Center. Learn more from the Library's main page.

Check out the Book Groups link for information about our Readers' Guild. Our next meeting is May 12.

The Summer Reading Challenge starts June 2. All Grand Prairie Libraries offer a summer reading program for any age - child, teen, or adult. Read throughout the summer for your chance to win coupon and gift card prizes.

Registration begins June 2, and continues through the summer. Here is the Children's Summer Reading Challenge brochure.

Children's Programs

The Betty Warmack Branch Library holds two storytime sessions each Wednesday. Join us at 10:00 OR 10:45 a.m. for stories. Storytime runs 4 weeks with a break between sessions.

Our next sessions will run April 23 and 30, and May 7. There will not be a storytime May 14, 21 or 28, while we prepare for the Summer Reading Challenge.

Please be on time, as we have limited space, and thank you so much for your great attendance! We regret that we might have to limit attendance at a storytime, due to safety regulations.

Teen programs

Teens 11-18 are invited to join us for Teen Gaming Time, on Thrusday, May 15. From 4 pm to 5:30 pm, we'll play xBox, Playstation, and DDR.

Adult Programs

The Grand Prairie Storyteller’s Guild will meet at 7:30 pm on Thursday, May 22.
