The Grand Prairie Libraries offer a variety of programs to help you stay fit and have fun. All are free, some require registration.You don’t have to be a Grand Prairie resident, or even have a library card (although we’d love to make you a free card).
Kids Zumba Series with Katie Riedinger
Warmack Library: Select Mondays, 4:30 p.m.
Jan. 8, 22, 29, Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5
For grades 1-5. Workout with kid-friendly Zumba routines that incorporate games, creativity, coordination and cultural awareness along with fitness. Registration for the series is required, please email Linda at firstname.lastname@example.org. This series is currently FULL.
Hip Hop with Ernesto

For elementary school grades 1–5. Start the new year off right with this special edition Full STEAM Ahead program. Learn and practice the latest in popping, locking and stepping with Ernesto from United Dance Academy.

New Year, New You: The Perfect Workout

Come join in for these 20 minute high-intensity workouts that you can duplicate at home or at your local gym. We will also discuss nutrition and health.

FOR FAMILIES:FIT for Health Program
Thursdays, 4-6 p.m. at the Warmack Library
The YMCA offers a free nutrition and health program for families with children 6-12 years of age. The program consists of 11 group sessions that meet once a week for 1.5 hours. Each session consists of a
physical activity and a nutritional education portion for the families.
