The City of Grand Prairie’s Parks, Arts, and Recreation Department has partnered with the Grand Prairie Independent School District and KERA Television to host 1,200 pre-k students April 12 and April 13, 2017, at the Kirby Creek Nature Center, 3303 Corn Valley, Grand Prairie, Texas. The event is in celebration of upcoming Earth Day (April 22). From investigations of plants and habitats to birdwatching, Grand Prairie’s youngest learn up-close about nature and the environment.
"The City of Grand Prairie Parks, Arts, and Recreation Department provides the Grand Prairie
community the opportunity to experience nature and the outdoors," said Rick Herold, Grand Prairie Parks, Arts and Recreation Director. "Local parks and recreation spaces are great places to show every child that nature and the environment are not only important, but also entertaining and fun."
