Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful is a program within the City of Grand Prairie's Solid Waste and Recycling Division that focuses on the three main pillars of Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful: litter prevention, recycling, and beautification. KGPB partners with the local school district and local businesses as well as scout troops and other volunteer groups to help make Grand Prairie the cleanest, greenest, most beautiful place to live, work, and play.

Don’t Mess with Texas 30th Anniversary Trash and Treasure Hunt

GRAND PRAIRIE—Join the Don’t Mess with Texas and the Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful Commission for fun, prizes, and a cleanup on Saturday, Aug. 20, 8-11 a.m. at Loyd Park, 3401 Ragland Road. The event has been postponed due to impending weather. More information to follow when a new date is selected.

This is a water and land based cleanup. Paddlers may bring their own watercraft and personal flotation device/PFD. Long pants and close-toe shoes or rain boots, sunscreen, insect repellant, hat and sunglasses are recommended. A hot dog lunch will be provided after the cleanup, and participants will be entered to win Texas Rangers Tickets, a YETI Cooler, Loyd Park Campsites and gift cards.
