Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful is a program within the City of Grand Prairie's Solid Waste and Recycling Division that focuses on the three main pillars of Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful: litter prevention, recycling, and beautification. KGPB partners with the local school district and local businesses as well as scout troops and other volunteer groups to help make Grand Prairie the cleanest, greenest, most beautiful place to live, work, and play.

The KGPB Commission meets monthly, supporting the goals of Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful.
Initiatives include beautification, education, community gardening, litter prevention and recycling, and partnerships with businesses and schools.

Earth Week in Grand Prairie

Tire Amnesty Day: Free Tire Recycling Event • Friday, April 25, 2014 • 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

In the spirit of Earth Week April 21-25, Grand Prairie is conducting a citywide cleanup of illegally dumped tires, which will be recycled thanks to a grant from the nonprofit organization Bluebonnet Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D). In addition, the city offers residents the chance to turn in their own tires – free of charge – during "Tire Amnesty Day" on Friday, April 25, at the Grand Prairie Landfill. The Landfill, 1102 MacArthur Blvd., will waive the usual recycling fee for up to 10 tires per resident on April 25. Recycling is the only environmentally responsible way to dispose of tires.
