Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful is a program within the City of Grand Prairie's Solid Waste and Recycling Division that focuses on the three main pillars of Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful: litter prevention, recycling, and beautification. KGPB partners with the local school district and local businesses as well as scout troops and other volunteer groups to help make Grand Prairie the cleanest, greenest, most beautiful place to live, work, and play.

The KGPB Commission meets monthly, supporting the goals of Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful.
Initiatives include beautification, education, community gardening, litter prevention and recycling, and partnerships with businesses and schools.

Seeking Volunteers for the Johnson Creek and Godwin Branch Adopt-A-Stream Cleanup
Volunteers, ages five and older, are invited to the Johnson Creek and Godwin Branch Adopt-A-Stream Cleanup Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Larson Elementary, 2620 Avenue K. Volunteers will help clean around the campus to keep the surrounding creeks clean. A FREE lunch will be provided for volunteers, as well as a Most Unusual Item Found Contest and other prize giveaways.
Parents or legal guardians must accompany volunteers younger than 18 years of age.
