Farmers Market: Mrs. Ruthe's Fig and Fudge Day

Celebrating the city’s legendary and long-time City Councilwoman Mrs. Ruthe Jackson’s life of service, fresh figs from her garden, fig preserves and fudge will be sold, benefitting Lifeline Shelter for Families in Grand Prairie.
The festival will include a fudge contest and fig preserves contest. Numerous Farmers Market vendors may also feature figs and fudge in their wares.
Scott and Steve will be performing on the Farmers Market state at 10 a.m.
Grand Prairie Farmers Market at Market Square is open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays from April through mid-December and features locally grown fruits and vegetables, baked goods, tamales, salsas, dips, relishes, eggs, honey, chips, plants, soaps, candles and more.
